Summary
Kagome only meant to protect a frightened pup. Instead, she draws the attention of a High Lord whose icy composure hides old wounds of his own. As danger rises and long‑buried truths come to light, Kagome must decide whether to keep running from her past or stand as the woman she truly is.
An arctic fox and an arctic heart. What begins with a single act of kindness becomes a story of identity, trust, and the family they choose to build.

Summary
Instinct compels Kagome to take in the orphaned child she discovers and raise it as her own. There are some things, however, about inuyokai babies that only another inuyokai would know. (Rewrite of my previously published fic, Instinct.)
