Summary
Alhaitham has had a simple life up until two years ago. His life had been planned out from the moment he was born until the day he died. It was simple. It was perfect. Take over the kingdom upon his twenty fifth birthday. Take a wife and father the next prince or princess to take over the Great Sumeru Kingdom. Become a part of his successor's panel of Sages. Die in a peaceful and fruitful kingdom.
But he learned the hard way that plans aren't always set in stone. An unknown enemy broke into the palace and stole the life of his father and grandfather, leaving him an orphaned prince, only left alive by the grace of the goddess he doesn't want to believe in anymore.
He must now face trials of unknown enemies, ruling a kingdom far too early, and even a ruby eyed beauty.

The boy’s screams became racked with sobs and Antinous grabbed him by his hair.
“That’s right, cry little wolf. Nobody can hear you out here but me and the ocean, and I think the sea will gladly keep my secrets.”
Antinous yanked the knife out again and held it high, when suddenly a deep voice sounded close to his ear.
“Oh hell no. You’re not dumping his son into MY ocean. Keep me out of this.”

Antinous survives the Old King’s slaughter and tries to follow through on his threats to kill the prince. Poseidon drags them both into his palace where he imprisons Antinous and patches up Telemachus so he can return him safely to Ithaca before Odysseus thinks he had anything to do with this.
Meanwhile, Telemachus thinks his savior is the most beautiful being he has ever seen in his life…

Summary
Antinous turned around and, by some curse, saw Telemachus laying on the stone. After a moment Antinous moved towards the body. It was not as mangled as he hopped, but anything was better than nothing. The boy was lying on his stomach, eyes closed and mouth open. Antinous crouched down next to him to assess the damage. There was blood on his chiton, but not much. It didn’t have time to soak in yet. There was blood running down his face too, likely a head injury. It was a nice colour against the boy’s pale skin.
He turned Telemachus to face him. He brushed his bangs out of his face. The moonlight shone over those soft, feminine features Antinous had always mocked the prince for. Plump cheeks, full lips, and a straight nose just like his mother. The blood he had noticed before shimmered a deep crimson as it poured from the prince’s eyes. Soft, round eyes that always had a hint of curiosity in them.
Eyes that were now gone.
