The brain is a beautiful thing. It's capable of connection far beyond what we know of, hence why neuroscience is such a debatable topic.
Chance is forced to face his own subconscious in many ways - it tries to trick him, use them, drive them both to insanity.
But the mind doesn't mean to do this, it's only an act of survival - what it is programmed to believe is best for the vessel it controls.
It may deceive and contort what is reality, but, it is trying to be kind.
When the vessel gains control over a part of their subconscious however, the ecosystem of thought begins to lose full control.
The vessel can tap into what the mind doesn't want them to perceive, and this can be even more detrimental to the host.
What might happen then?
When the thing that only wanted to protect you from something that can make you worse, becomes the very thing that starts your downfall?Idk yall I haven't written something in ages , ':3

Three years ago, the Spectre trapped twenty-one people in a limbo. Split into two teams, survivors and killers, they were forced into death games daily for its amusement. After so, so long, most of them had already lost hope of freedom, objective morphing from finding a way out to survival.
Until 1x1x1x1 wakes up with strange, foreign memories. Memories that clashed with everything she believed since stepping foot into this place – yet, deep down inside, she knew they were right.
The fragile, volatile peace built in the last few years shatters. New alliances are made, old ones rekindle, and a new plan for escape forms, all as the Spectre’s ironclad hold loosens. But questions still remain.

Once the Fount of Knowledge, then the Beast of Deceit, and now, a Soul Jam-less, powerless wanderer trapped in his own other realm. This unwelcome plot twist had really thrown a wrench in Shadow Milk’s grand plans for vengeance. And to top it all off? Pure Vanilla was here too! To act saintly and get in his way and poke his nose into everything Shadow Milk was trying to hide. Oh joy! Surely nothing bad could happen!
