“Moomintroll?” Snufkin whispers, parting the flap of his tent slightly to peer more closely. His form wavered in the distance and he was turning unbelievably slow.
Snufkin scoffs at himself. he must be hallucinating. He’s tried, and it’s dark out. He zips the tent flap and pulls his blanket to his chin. Staring at the pines’ shadows on the tents canvas. He flutters his eyes closed, laughing lightly to himself. Imagining the troll curled up in his bed at home, likely snoring louder than a bear. Dreaming of something incredible beyond the confines of the valley.
A cold draft suddenly whips through the tent. he growls slightly. Swearing he zipped up his tent. He rubs his eyes, dragging his body upwards-
-and sees the glowing form of Moomintroll sitting in front of him.

An alternate universe where Oscar is the one who destroyed the diamond in S6 ep nineteen and destroys magic, he goes home early out of guilt and struggles with forgiving himself for messing up. Meanwhile Hedgehog is slowly formulating a plan on how they are going to get magic back, while also trying to help Oscar get back on his hooves.

Boorishbint is so incredibly iconic in the moomin fandom and for good reason, please read this fic for the love of god it never got finished but it’s worth every paragraph despite.
