I wrote this based on Oda’s comment regarding the nationalities of the Straw Hat pirates, specifically:
- Sanji is French
- Luffy is Brazilian
- Franky is AmericanThis work is also based on this headcanon I have for the straw hats:
They all speak Japanese and communicate through it, but they each speak the language of their native country.
Sanji and the reader’s interaction is mainly in English, but I’ve translated it as well for non-French speakers.
