Summary
Bathtubs weren't great places to sleep in. They're cold, hard, bad for the back. Despite that, Phoenix slept in one from time to time anyway. There's comfort in being hurt. He's used to it being constant. Back then when he was whipped and burned and beaten without any recourse. Back when everything he said was questioned, called stupid, and phony. Things that are still said about him, even worse now that he's disbarred.
