Aglaea sighed deeply, then turning back, she stretched her hand behind her. It was only then that Mydei noticed that a fragment of her dress was moving unnaturally, as if someone was standing behind it. Agalea encouragingly pushed the small person in front of her. Or rather, a small boy. And not just any boy. Mydei felt his eyes widen first with shock and then with disbelief.
The boy standing before him, desperately clinging to Aglaea’s dress like a lifeline, was at least seven years old, with white hair and striking blue eyes.
Those eyes.
Mydei would recognize them even at the end of the world. Before him stood none other than Phainon.
Except that he was a child.
