What made his plans crumble, as he carried that small child under his arm once finally sustaining him, was someone familiar sitting at the table of a cafe he passed.
Soft hair, similar to Dazai's, just darker.
A sly grin, similar to Dazai's, only on a face much paler. Cold eyes, slightly more vibrant than Dazai's.
Fyodor Dostoevsky, in the flesh. In a cafe.
That couldn't be good.
He finished his mission as fast as he could, avoiding getting caught and avoiding being recognized, since that could result in the government bastards chasing his tail, before he returned to the location.
With the man gone.
Maybe he was just going insane. Maybe hallucinating.
But then, as he exited the cafe and went to the bridge of Yokohama, he realized that no, he wasn't going insane.
Because the man under the bridge, on the beach, was very real, as he laid on the sand.
He jumped down and ran to him, out of breath, and stared.
How come Fyodor looked so much like him?
