It’s unbearable.” Hannibal is opening his mouth, but Will raises a hand to ask him to wait. “And before you bring up my ‘dangerously altruistic streak,’ as you’ve dubbed it, I do mean you.”
Will cannot look at Hannibal, because it’s only part of the truth. He can’t stop thinking about that day, when the perfectly poised doctor had come so unhinged that he broke through a solid wooden door with nothing but his own brutal strength.
