Summary
Around the lawn lay empty bullet casings, discarded guns, an arm, and large craters of dirt and grass that still seemed to be on fire. To top it all off there was what appeared to be a framed picture of his butt sitting on the roof.
“Miles?” Peter asked, standing stock still like a war shocked veteran.
“Um…” Miles chuckled nervously beside him, rubbing the back of his neck. “There’s...uh…no good way to explain this is there?”
The silence stretched on, oppressive and physical, Peter still staring at his house but not saying a word. The squirmy feeling in Miles gut grew.
“It was…for love?”
