Summary
Yes, Steve had always been considered one of the few black sheep within the Addams clan. The average person did not find Steve strange, or even weird! Steve was polite, he was kind, he cared about others- that was Steve’s burden to bare. Not that his family excluded him for it. No, they understood that this was not something that Steve could control. He was born that way, and would change it if he could.
It was a possibility that, because of this, Steve fixated on people that courted the dark and damp parts of the universe. Those who could find a home in the gothic aesthetic. People who his family would approve of.
That could explain why Steve was so comfortable with his current predicament. Pinned against the grimy wall of a practically abandoned boat shed. A switch blade pressed against his jugular, digging into his skin. A feral man with wild, unkempt hair and a pungent smell pressed against his front.Gods, it was addicting.
Steve couldn’t be blamed- not really. How could he ignore such a sight? Within mere moments of Eddie Munson making himself known to Steve, he was enthralled.

Summary
When Steve Harrington is nine years old, his babysitter takes him to a comic book store. Shuffling through the stacks mostly to appease her (comics really weren’t his thing), he happens upon a rare, out-of-print, first edition of an old comic from the ’70s.
"Stranger Things", the title reads. Something about it calls to him. He immediately knows he has to have it. His babysitter lets him buy it, and even takes him back to the bookstore and buys him the rest of the series on her own dime when he consumes the comic and needs the rest.
He grows up with the comics. They mean everything to him. Nothing feels real to him like the comics do, and no one around him understands. He grows up feeling like there's a wall between him and the rest of the 'real world' and nothing pierces it besides the stories he found when he was a kid.
Almost exactly eleven years after the comics first found him, he’s working a dead-end job at the Flea and Acrobat movie theater in town and not knowing what the hell is going to come next. Not really caring, either. That is, until Dustin Henderson careens to a stop in front of his ticket box.

Summary
Steve buys a little rundown farmhouse after his parents pass. He collects abandoned and stray animals, ones with disabilities and high medical needs, because he has both the funds and the time to give them the best life they can possibly have. Then, somehow, he starts collecting kids, too, working with the foster system to give them a place to learn and grow. Adults, however, aren't really his forte, but when Jim Hopper calls in a favour, Steve can't help but agree.
It turns out that Eddie Munson, a rockstar famous for both his music and hedonistic lifestyle, is going to be Steve's next rescue.

Summary
The mall is destroyed. El’s lost her powers. Billy’s dead. So is Hopper. Steve is probably fucked up mentally for life, but what else is new? Steve has a pretty good thing going. He has kids to take care of, an awkward lesbian to advise. Max needs a big brother. Hawkins is his home, and Steve can’t just leave. Not while he’s still needed. He knows one day he won’t be. But for now, it’s enough.
Or: the Harringtons sell their house before the real estate market goes belly-up. Hawkins has been going downhill for years, anyway. His parents give Steve a choice: move with them and finally take that job at his dad’s company or get left behind. For Steve, it wasn’t much of a choice at all. He may not have a house anymore, but his BMW’s backseat has served as a bed plenty of times already. No one has to know. The party has enough problems to worry about.
Or: Eddie Munson worms his way into Steve’s sorry little life months before Vecna rears his ugly head.
Or: Steve Harrington, a character study.

Summary
“Your heart’s racing,” Steve noted, quietly.
Eddie laughed. It was more of a shaky exhale, lashes fluttering as he struggled to keep his composure. “Stevie,” he whispered, fingers cradling Steve’s side like he was precious. “Yeah, no fucking shit.”
OR: Ma Henderson & Wayne Munson get cosy, Dustin makes an off-hand remark, and Steve spirals. It works out in the end.
