Summary
Jaskier remembered vividly the first time it happened, always a constant memory lingering in the back of his mind.
It wasn't long after he had met Geralt; they were walking through the woods and suddenly he was hit with urge to vomit out of nowhere. Geralt looked mildly confused as he turned toward him, watching as Jaskier leaned over, hands on his knees, retching loudly.
He coughed, throat burning, until finally he felt good enough to open his eyes, an odd taste in the back of his mouth, almost like dirt.
And then he saw them, yellow petals at his feet.

Summary
Getting stuck in Kaedwen in winter had never been on Jaskier's plan. It's cold, they don't appreciate his music and nobody likes their national beverage anyway. The only redeeming thing Kaedwen has is Kaer Morhen, so Jaskier does what any reasonable bard would do in this situation: he decides to charm his way into Kaer Morhen to hibernate with Geralt and the other witchers. If nothing it will be an experience no human has ever had, fuel for songs and poems for years to come, while finally teaching him a thing or two about witchers he's just dying to know.
Curiosity tended to kill the cat, but Jasker had always seen himself as more of a bird anyway.

Summary
Spring is changing to summer and a war brews on the horizon. Lord Geralt only wishes to protect the fae from the humans who draw closer to the woods, Lady Yennefer has her own plans, and Jaskier only wishes to help anyway he can.
When a mishap of magic causes him and Geralt to confront their emotions it isn't just the seasons that begin to change.
