Summary
Hanma Shuji finds himself in deeper than he planned when Bonten’s newest cash-cow refuses to play by the rules of the games he’s ruined so many women with. After she refuses to bend the knee to those with the egos to believe they’re above her, what was initially a dismissal of his own jealousy takes him down a path he’d never considered when he is relegated to being a bench-warmer for Haitani Rindou.
Rejecting her spurn for his actions which have always been brushed off due to his good looks and cocky attitude that never failed to charm, Hanma is left with no choice but to accept his losses, or get exceedingly extreme in order to win the woman back as she quickly makes a name for herself in the criminal underworld and no longer needs him at all.
Hanma Shuji was known for many things: losing had never been one.

Summary

Summary
While camping in the mountains for the night, Sugimoto’s group is happened upon by a woman wearing a bear. She - Sen - is neither Japanese, nor Ainu, but she certainly seems to know a lot more about the tattoos they’re searching for than she initially lets on. On the run from her own issues that she’s keeping close to her chest in the form of a cryptic, facetious game, she finds herself involved with the group’s sniper to keep herself amused while travelling.
However, when she reunites with a shared acquaintance, she ends up finding something she was sure was impossible to survive in the 7th Division: a decent man.
Continuing her way across the country as the factions in search of the gold split for the nth time, her ghosts haunting her, she has to make the decision between a path of excitement or peace while on her hunt for revenge.

Chifuyu for a moment, looks broken, like every bluff has been called, like he’s about to fall apart and then, he seems to harness it, turn it incandescent. He reaches for Hanagaki, grabs his shirt and hauls them together. He kisses like he fights; passionless - incredibly violent, and Takemichi can hardly feel his lips when they part; red raw shock coursing through him.
Chifuyu puffs out an irritated breath, wipes the back of his hand across his lips. “Content?”
“So you two are fucking?” Kisaki asks, unenthused, then with a blink that settles into discomposure. “Does Hi - does your Girlfriend know?”
“We are?” Hanagaki asks, breathless, and takes one look at Chifuyu’s face. “We are,” he confirms. “And she -” He sucks his lips in, reeling. “She - is - easy about it”
