"He always did have the strangest hobbies." Kaeya traces the sharp ends of the wooden shelf. Spotless, he seemed surprised. Of course, Diluc knows how much Kaeya loved Crepus’ bottles. He'd dusted the collection himself that morning in anticipation. "Intriguing, certainly, but most dangerous."
"You used to admire the bottles when we were children."
Kaeya looks thoughtful, removing his index from the wood and tapping it on his cheek. "Yes, I did. Lovely things, aren't they? With each bottle increasingly more ornate than the last."
"Father had most of the flasks custom-blown, then decorated by an old smithing family in Narukami. Amenoma, if I'm correct."
Kaeya hovers over the bottles with his knuckles, "Hemlock, mandrake... deadly nightshade?"— Diluc nods, "And-"
"Cantarella." he finishes for him.
Diluc knows poisons better than the sword. Kaeya knows Diluc better than death.
