I am really bad at summarise but here we go;)
After one mission that wasn’t really a mission goes wrong they promised not to go on another mission without his knowledge but as usual they didn’t hold their promise. Alec gets mistreated by his siblings because they never seem to think about how their actions would affect their big brother. And as they go on another mission Magnus joins them. Summary
“I’m in love with you!” Henry screams, and Alex can’t tell if the bar goes silent, or if it’s just the static in his ears overpowering the noise in the room as he focuses on what just spilled from Henry’s lips.
He spins around to face a red cheeked Henry.
“Why have you been ignoring me all week?” Alex asks, his voice cracking on the last word, and he has to swallow past the lump in his throat and blink away the tears that have started to finally form.
“Because you kissed me! And you don’t even remember, or - or maybe you do and you’ve just decided to pretend it didn’t happen, and I don’t know which is worse!” Henry yells, his chest heaving with every inhale and exhale, and Alex – well Alex is at a loss for words.
Or: a breakup causes Alex to come to a halting revelation, followed by a drunken kiss with his best friend and a promise he can't keep, causing Henry to pull away from him. It all comes to head in a crowded bar.
Or: (Alex kisses Henry after coming to the realization that he's in love with him, only to completely forget it ever happened the next morning).

Summary
When he reaches Alex, he crouches down to his knees, and he focuses on the way the blades just barely cut into the skin on the back of his thighs through his pants rather than the shaking of his hands at his sides.
“Alex?” Henry says, leaning his head down so he can maybe get in eye level with Alex, but Alex keeps his eyes firmly shut and angled down towards the ground, his curls plastered across his sweaty forehead, and it takes everything in Henry not to gently move the hair from his face.
“Alex, hey it’s – it’s Henry. Henry Fox?” Henry tries, this time a little louder, and he cringes at the awkwardness of it all. He thinks Alex must hear him though if the slight wince that rolls through Alex’s body is to go off anything.
Or: Hockey player Alex who gets injured and is back on the ice for the first time since said injury and isn't dealing with it well mentally, and figure skater Henry who comes into the rink one morning and finds Alex keeled over on the ice having a panic attack

That night, in the safety of his hotel room on the outskirts of the Olympic Village, Henry couldn’t catch his breath. He coughed and coughed, feeling like he was choking on nothing, but there was a scratching sensation in his throat that he just couldn’t shake – until a single blue petal flew past his lips, landing in the porcelain bowl of the sink.
After an hour of painstaking Googling, he learns that it’s a Texas bluebonnet. He also learns what the fact that he’s coughing up petals means – the beginning stages of Hanahaki Disease. Rare, but not unheard of, according to the NHS website he browses in an incognito tab. Common in royal bloodlines (thank you, inbreeding).
"Only curable if the afflicted’s love is requited with a declaration," he reads, and slams his laptop closed with a bitter laugh, wet with tears. "A surgical procedure removing the afflicted’s capacity for love may be performed if the love remains unrequited. Otherwise, the condition is terminal."
So, then. He has no chance.

He’s already way too occupied with thoughts of what Henry looks like underneath that dress shirt. Or with trying to remember if Henry has always smelled this good or if he has a new cologne. It smells unmistakeably like Henry though, so it can’t be new, can it?
“New cologne?” Alex says, his brain to mouth filter malfunctioning. He grits his teeth as soon as the words have left his mouth.
Henry quirks an eyebrow at him.“No, I’ve had this one for years. Why? Is it too strong? Did I put on too much?”
Alex can’t have Henry looking this self-conscious, so he quickly replies: “no, no, not at all. I like it,” and then grits his teeth again because apparently he’s incapable of shutting up. Nora accuses him of exactly that at least once a week. He thought she was exaggerating. Maybe she has a point.
