And then Hawk understood Tim’s instructions. The thick smoke clouded his senses and he inhaled like Tim told him to, pointedly not focusing on the faintest brush of Tim’s bottom lip against his own.
He held the smoke in for a second or two because he felt like that’s what he was supposed to do, and then he blew it out, taking a deep breath of fresh air.
When he opened his eyes, Tim was watching him. His fingers were still sunk in Hawk’s hair. “Not bad?” he asked.
“Again?”
