Ash has been sitting in the same stupid chair for about five hours now. His phone ran out of battery on hour two, and even then, there isn't much to do without Wi-Fi but sit and play an updated version of the old snake game. The chair is cheap and stiff, and makes his butt hurt like hell. He wants to get up and stretch, but he isn’t in the mood to draw attention to himself, because he knows. He knows as soon as his butt leaves that musty fabric Mrs. CPS-worker is gonna be on him, asking if he wants anything.
And oh boy does Ash know what he wants above all else:Dino to die from his (not-so) out of the blue heart attack,
Griffin to miraculously live again,
and a house out in the middle of nowhere where he could live without a care in the world.
Except none of these things are ever going to happen, because he's Ash Lynx; prostitute, murderer, and an absolutely worthless nobody.
In come Max and Jessica, who have already signed the adoption papers.

“Look, I think you and I need to have a conversation.” Ash tells him in a serious tone, petting his ears with both hands. Buddy almost looks like he’s going to burst from enjoyment. “Are you trying to steal my husband from me? Because, I get it, Eiji’s the most lovable person on Earth. But I feel like you’re forgetting that he’s my husband.”
Buddy lies down on the floor for a belly rub.
Ash sighs, giving him what he wants. “Buddy, please. I’d appreciate if you could take this conversation more seriously. You’re being disrespectful now.”

He shakes as he racks with body with sobs, clutching at his chest as if to confirm that he himself was still alive. There might have been a heartbeat there, but he knew his heart was broken like a vase, irreparable damage breaking him to bits.

Ash had no idea where he was.
He felt a dull pain in his side. His entire body was aching, but his mind couldn't register what was going on. It was dark everywhere he looked - was he asleep? Or about to wake? Or was the place he was in just pitch black on its own?
He thought he could hear a faint beeping noise - but it was echoing somewhere in the distance.
Or, my take on the Banana Fish ending that follows Ash on the journey of accepting love.

This is a post-canon story where Eiji comes to NYC after his pole-vaulting accident. But Ash has already been stabbed and is on the brink of death. Eiji just happens to live in his old apartment, learns some things about Ash and gets curious. When he studies in the Public Library, he encounters Ash's ghost who insists he isn't dead (yet)... So Eiji starts investigating and gets pulled into a world of danger...
It's another slow burn between Eiji and Ash with an angsty beginning and an eventual happy ending;-)

Dragons had always been a problem for those who lived in Middle-Earth. No matter where you lived or who you were, you most likely had a dragon story or two to tell.
Bilbo Baggins had more than enough for his lifetime, thank you very much.
He'd lost his father to dragons while adventuring outside the Shire and later became a parent to his orphaned nephew after a dragon attack. With the sudden appearance of dragons just north of the Shire, dwarves have been called to help protect them. One dwarf in particular takes an interest in Bilbo and young Frodo - and maybe now Bilbo has at least one thing to thank the dragons for.
