“Stiles,” Scott whispers slowly. It still feels like everything he does is coming out slowly, as though he’s moving through molasses. “I just know. Allison is my soulmate. I can’t lie to Allison.”
For once, Stiles doesn’t seem to have a snappy response. He bounces a pen back and forth in his hands. After a beat, he asks, “You’re sure?”
“Yes.”
Stiles’s pen-bouncing intensifies. Then he drops the pen on his desk with a clatter and laces his hands behind his head. “Ohhhhh, we’re fucked. We’re fucked.”
Scott drops his head down onto his desk.

Caitlyn looked down at her scope she was attaching to the rifle. She loaded the gun slowly and carefully.
The hunter locked in the chamber and she peered through the scope, waiting. Her radio was tossed on the ground before her. She could hear Mel trying to call out to her. Caitlyn ignored it for now. She briefly stared at the message across the screen on her phone. Any time now.
Switching off the safety, Caitlyn waited ever so patiently for her prey.
