Without the protection of his glasses, tucked into the collar of his jacket, his eyes flash white in the light. Like an animal, Nicholas thinks. Like something unknowable, untameable, no matter how close one’s willing to get.
But Nicholas has never been afraid of getting bit. He shifts on his rocky perch, chewing the lollipop stick long gone soggy between his teeth. “Can you at least tell me what to watch for?”
Vash hums, turning around fully, half a smile quirking the left side of his mouth, forming a dimple Nicholas wants to press his thumb into.
“Teeth.”

Summary
Lycaon didn't realize he was going to reach for him until his wrist jerked against the rope.
They both startled at the motion. Hugo's eyes rimmed in delicate exhaustion, a testament to his work ethic, his long nights but they were every bit as beautiful as they were the last time he looked up at Lycaon like this, pale lashes and mouth full.
Lycaon let his head tip back to break their stare.
“Hurry, perhaps.” He said and for once Hugo didn't talk back.
Lycaon takes time off rarely but always after ticking the correct boxes. Hugo finds out what that warehouse is usually used for and PubSec doesn't get called.
