Summary
In 2022, Hen and Karen made a bet. By 2024, that bet had gotten somewhat out of control. Now it’s 2025, Bobby is dead, Buck is apartment hunting, and Eddie finds a list of names and dates in Hen’s locker.
Oh, and there's a backup on the 10. Again.

Or: betting on when your friends will realize they're in love is a lot less funny when one of them already knows.

Summary
His father wasn’t stupid. He was an officer of the law, trained to look for patterns. He confronted Stiles about werewolves and they shouted and Stiles tried to explain but his father was so, so, so mad, more mad than Stiles had ever seen him, ever in all his life and then his father looked at him and said,
“It’s like you’re not my son anymore.”
And Stiles broke.

Summary
After the fight in the grocery store, Buck feels like he's causing too much damage so he drops the lawsuit and leaves LA, joining a hotshot wildland firefighter crew out of Montana. He's gone for six months until he gets a call from Chris that something is wrong with Eddie, causing him to race back home only to find a very confused Eddie instead of a hurt or depressed Eddie. Eddie talks him into coming inside for a beer and after that Buck can't bring himself to leave the Diaz boys behind again. But that doesn't mean he's ready to talk to anyone else yet. So they just don't tell anyone else Buck is back. For over two years. Even when they start dating.
Three years after he left LA and the 118, there's a pileup on the 210 in La Tuna Canyon Park and a wildfire racing towards all the crews scrambling desperately to get everyone out in time, including the 118. Buck's crew is in the right place at the right time, and they don't hesitate to come help.

Summary
Eddie doesn’t remember when it started. Maybe it was always there—quiet and steady, tucked behind shared laughter and late-night calls, in the space between a look and the moment it’s returned. He never meant to hold onto it so tightly. He just never found a way to let it go.
So he stayed silent. Let Buck live his life. Let himself ache through it.
And then one day, Buck starts smiling for someone else. He starts leaving shift lighter than he came in, eyes soft in a way Eddie hasn’t seen in months. Eddie doesn’t say anything. Just watches. Just breaks, a little more each day.
Until the night the words fall out, uninvited and low.
''He doesn’t look at you like you’re the air in his lungs.''Buck hears it. Doesn’t turn around. And Eddie finally understands what it means to love someone so deeply it swallows you whole—and still choose silence.
But silence doesn’t always mean nothing.
And sometimes, love finds its way back anyway.Bookmarked by Carlu93

Summary
Buck had always known people leave. Ex-girlfriends, friends, broken promises—he’d lost count. But when Eddie announces his plan of going to El Paso, something inside Buck shatters in a different way. He does what it takes, until one day, he can’t take it anymore. With no plan, no fixed destination, just a backpack and an endless road ahead, Buck decides to escape the pain the only way he knows: by running. But the farther he travels, the more he finds himself confronted by memories, the ghosts of what he’s lost, and one unexpected question: is he running toward a new home or simply running from the fear that he never truly had one?
Eddie never hesitated when it came to his son. Christopher was his compass, his greatest reason to keep fighting, and when he gets tired of having his son away, Eddie doesn’t think twice before leaving everything behind—including Buck. El Paso takes him through unfamiliar roads and a journey that isn’t just about repairing his relationship with his son, but about finding himself. In the midst of chaos, worry, and missing his life in Los Angeles, Eddie realizes that maybe his feelings for Buck have always been deeper than he was willing to admit.
