This is painful AF but also so, so beautiful (and hits way too close to home with flashbacks/trauma/the soothing familiarity of pain)

Beautiful hurt/comfort, Jason being injured/really sick and Dick gently taking care of him until he’s broken down all of Jason’s defenses.
It's got Jason's self-hate, his fear of being rejected, Dick's complexes, everything.

There wasn't anywhere safe to look. Minho's back was too broad, his hands too skillful as he stirred the contents of the pan. His hair was sticking out at odd angles from where he'd removed his beanie. It made Jisung realise his own hair had probably curled and flicked up from the snow and he rushed to try and flatten it with his palms.
He scrambled to fill the milk-sweet air before he did something stupid like moan at Minho cracking off pieces of chocolate to add to the pan. "Well, I approve of Dori's living conditions so I guess you can keep him."
"I'm glad my apartment meets with your approval Jisungie, I hope you can see I take very good care of my pets."
Or: Jisung finds a stowaway cat, when the owner turns up he demands to check the cat's living conditions. Minho takes good care of his pets.

Summary
It all falls into place then. He knew, of course, he knew, saw Felix’s face appear in the studio once he realized what was happening to him. It had been faint then, somehow. A truth so barely acknowledged that it lived only in the back of Hyunjin’s mind, a secret, wrapped in layers of paper so no one would ever take a glance at it, not even him, even though he knew it sat there, uncovered but solid. Real.
It’s different now that the secret had been dragged into the light, the paper torn to shreds, and there’s barely any surprise, his mind only catching up to what his body already knew, but his heart squeezes with the realization, surging through the pure, sweet taste of loving someone so deeply, only to sour when the thought hits him, that the flower growing in his chest and the petals making their way up his throat can only mean one thing:
He’s in love with Felix, but Felix doesn’t love him back.

Beautiful, painful and everything sweet in between.
Slow burn as in 5-years-of-yearning slow. Very nice with the flashback chapters and different POVs. Very lovely descriptions of different kinds of (platonic) love as well.
Cried a bucket full of tears though. Read till 3.20 am on a work night because I just NEEDED to see them happy/together (more than Sleep!!)
One of the best Hanahaki fics I've ever read.
Reread at own risk (aka either emotionally stable and/or ready to get my heart ripped to shreds and glued back together again)
