“Truthfully, I was wondering about you, Hoshi-kun. If that’s alright.”
Somehow, that possibility hadn’t occurred to Hoshi. He grumbles, reaching up and pulling down on the hood of his jacket, glancing away. “Doesn’t make much of a difference to me one way or the other. Still, nobody’s said that kind of thing to me in a long time.”
“I see you’re still as cryptic as you were back then.”
“And you, just as much of a busybody.”
Amami laughs, a fuller sound than that earlier chuckle, and Hoshi decides that the chuckle is almost definitely just to fill space; it doesn’t come near to the warm, deep ring that fills his ears as Amami grins.
