Summary
Smashing his alarm clock had been one thing, pulling the handle off the pantry was another, but this was a different situation altogether. Clark Kent stared listlessly at the door to his locker, no longer attached to the rest of the row, but instead in his hand, the metal crumpled and dented. The first year of high school was rough for any teenager, he knew, but this was too much, even by his elevated standards of weirdness.

At its core, this story is about two people who will do anything to protect and defend the other. Set sometime after Fight the Future, Scully discovers Mulder has gone missing. When she finds him, he's badly injured and his attackers are still at large. Scully has to use everything in her arsenal to try to keep Mulder safe and alive.
