On one of her many isolated patrols the hero runs into the countries most famed supervillain and they have a chat. Pearl knows they truly aren't that different but even with his persuasion she's reluctant to join him, though the convincing words of a spy may change her mind.

PearlescentMoon has never played by the twisted rules of the death games. She finds some way to get her own way throughout the trials and tribulations of the games. This time something is different. With the giant secret keeper looming over them, and the strange familiarity of it, Pearl's more focused on figuring out what that thing is and why she knows it. Throughout the games she's going to have to trust her allies and fight with people who she used to call family as memories of outside of the games come back to her.
She's certain that this is a game to play -- but only if she can do it her way.

This wasn’t supposed to happen.
Scar had been perfectly content to leave his old crew behind, but apparently the old crew in question were so *not content* about it, they came back from the dead.
And they made sure Scar knew.
Each of them had left their mark, one hideous inconvenience after another. Grian had basically blinded him in one eye, leaving Scar with a permanent black eye. Impulse had gifted him a pervasive choking sensation, thanks man. He hadn’t had an issue with tight spaces before Pearl, and now, he couldn’t so much as feel trapped without freaking out about it. And then there was Mumbo, who, worst of all, left him with chronic back pain. Most of the time, it was manageable, but when Mumbo got particularly down in the dumps, Scar couldn’t even get out of bed.
It made his life hell, but he would never let them know; ever vigilant as his tormentors were.
And maybe, one day, he could get rid of them for good.

“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).
