    Summary

Peter Grayson-Wayne is fourteen years old and, at first glance, an ordinary boy. He goes to school, excels in his advanced classes, walks his dog Ace, and visits the graves of the people he loves every two weeks.

But Peter knows his family harbors secrets. He knows that capes, masks, and late-night wounds mean something—even though he learned long ago that asking questions only leads to consequences.

What Peter doesn't know is that one of his family's biggest secrets has been watching him from the shadows for years.

Until one afternoon, a simple trip to his favorite store ends with Peter fighting for his life and forces someone who never should have come near him to break every rule.

Because there are secrets that can remain hidden for years.

    But not forever.

    Summary

Dickie hallucinates his dead baby brother—who is not actually dead. Or a hallucination, for that matter. This goes just about as well as expected.

    Or,

“Be nice, Jay,” Dick said. Not to Jason, but to the empty air. “I don’t exactly know what’s going on with your hair either. I think my subconscious took some creative liberties—”

    My subconscious.

    Jason’s mouth went bone dry.

    Alright. No. Nope.

    OR OR,

There it is again. That funny feeling.

    Summary

He smiles, all teeth, “Come on Replacement, I even got to the door with both legs busted. This should be nothing.”

“You’re right. Jason… Jason wouldn’t have given up. He would fight, I can still—“

The boy wobbles, and Jason has to suppress the mortifying impulse to jump to his aid.

“I can still fight. Batman needs me.”

“That’s a terrible idea,” he muses aloud, and if there’s a hint of real concern somewhere under all the roiling green, well, nobody can prove it.

    Summary

There’s dirt in his mouth, his eyes, his nose, his fucking ears. There’s entire ecosystems underneath his fingernails, digging into his body and taking him over, filling him up with dirt until there’s nothing of him left. He can’t feel anything– he can feel everything. His lungs squeezing with each minute that he goes without air, his broken and bloody nails screaming in pain as he claws through the dirt. His muscles are so tired, begging for him to just take a break, stop for a moment and rest, but he can’t, he can’t go back– he needs– he needs his dad. He needs to see him, to be back with his family, to have them hold him and take care of him and tell him that everything will be okay.

    or,

Jason comes back completely sane, and his first task is to find his family. Too bad they dont seem to like that.

    Summary

There existed a spell that very few mages were willing to ever cast. It was considered a last resort to all, and foolish by many. In exchange for continued life in face of certain death, one could wield their seidr to part with their fading self and remain on this plane longer with what was left of them. It meant losing entire sections of one’s years with no way to access them ever again, or control over how many. There were very few recorded instances of the usage of this particular spell in history - Both because it was extremely complicated to weave, as it demanded far greater magical abilities than common people possessed.. And, most importantly, because so few were willing to pay the price.

Or; In which Loki meant it, when he told his brother that “The sun will shine on us again”. Even if the only way he saw to escape the Mad Titan would mean losing some of himself on the way.
