“Are we giving out free drinks now?” Tara asks, pulling up beside him.
“Hmm?” Nick responds, eyes and mind still thoroughly absorbed in watching the stranger make his way through the crowded club.
“You didn’t charge him.”
Nick looks over at his colleague and longtime friend. “What?”
“Oh you’ve got it bad,” Tara laughs.
His brain is catching up now. What can I get for you, whiskey on ice, make the whiskey on ice, give the man his whiskey on ice, dimples, short circuit, great ass walking away. Oh fuck, somewhere in between dimples and ass, he was supposed to take money for the drink. Right.

Summary
In the midst of the zombie apocalypse, 21 year old Charlie and his hormonal teenage brother are making their way from Edinburgh to Manchester on foot. They’ve heard it’s become somewhat of a sanctuary after London was ravaged by the undead. It’s also the last place their sister was known to be alive.
Nick is also looking for sanctuary after losing his brother and only travel companion. He’s not built to brave this world alone, and wants a fresh start. A support system. A family.
Unfortunately he stumbles upon a couple of extremely rude, aggressive, bickering little dickheads instead.
