When he finally looked up at Kainé, she was smirking. Something almost sinister there. Weiss picked up on it before Nier could. “This better be an appropriate botanical explanation, hussy…”
Kainé rolled her eyes, then sat on the ground to sort through the mess of crunchy leaves. “This is antidotal weed. It’s good for curing common types of poison. Spider bites, scorpion stings. I don’t know how it works, I just know that’s what it does.”
“Oh.” Nier perked up. “We should definitely hold onto that, then.”
Weiss still seemed uneasy. “Something tells me that isn’t the only reason she expressed an interest in it…”
