Summary
After defeating Hawkmoth and finishing high school, Marinette moves to Gotham to try being a normal girl. Turns out being normal is not in the cards for a girl like Marinette. She was drawn to Gotham for a reason and it isn't good. The bats don't want her there, and figuring out what's wrong with Gotham is proving more difficult than she anticipated. At least she's got her new friend Tim to keep her sane.

“Yeah,” Tim chuckled, voice deeper from disuse. “Sorry. I didn’t meant to overstay my welcome."
“Your welcome never expires,” she scolded him automatically. “Sorry for falling asleep on you. I guess we were both tired last night.”
“You can fall asleep on me any time,” Tim said before his brain could catch up with what he was saying. “Er, wait, that’s uh, that’s not what I meant to say. I mean, you can fall asleep on me if you want to, but, uh, you don’t have to. Wait, no.”

Summary
Change is scary, and now it seems to be a constant state for Marinette. That won't slow her down however, and now as she has taken residence in Star City while apprenticing under Audrey Bourgeois, more change is coming her way.
If it had been a month ago, Marinette would never think about becoming part of Young Justice, but now it doesn't seem like she has the choice, with her newfound powers still not under her control. Now she has to navigate life after leaving Paris behind, making new friends and accepting herself and what she has become.

Damian’s family are pestering him to be more of a normal teenager. He doesn’t want to be more of a normal teenager. The average teens he observes at school are brainless savages. But his family is getting so annoying about it he’d do almost anything to get them to shut up.
Then Marinette Dupain-Cheng transfers to his school. She’s intelligent, quiet, respectful of his boundaries— generally acceptable.
His family want normal teen behavior? Fine. He’ll bring a girlfriend home.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
Marinette blinks. Ya know what? This might as well happen.
“Sure.”
Daminette as told through equally socially unaware messes, general misunderstandings of each other's skill and experience, and a total lack of awareness as to how many flowers are too many flowers.

The Gothamites couldn’t help but laugh and scoff at the Parisians insistence that Gotham would be a much safer place than Paris, and nothing should change. And everyone, even one Damian Wayne, was thrilled when the petition went through, and they boarded the plane for Paris.
