Izuku Midoriya, acutely aware of his obsessive tendencies, had always hoped he would find some way to manage his hyper-fixations, lest they spill into his adulthood.
One simply doesn’t abandon their fanboy ways, but they can learn to curb their urges. Izuku hasn’t published an entry on the All-Might WikiKnow pages since he was seventeen. That counts as progress.
At nineteen, he no longer feels the need to daydream for hours on end every time Uraraka so much as brushes her hand against his.
And then there’s Bakugou, his unwilling roommate.
The very same roommate Izuku finds himself having the most vivid fantasies about.

Summary
Being an Alpha has nothing to do with Katsuki's success as a Pro-Hero, the same way Deku's Omega status hasn't kept him from becoming Number Two. Secondary gender doesn't mean anything nowadays and “mating” is an antiquated practice.
