A graphic novel style short story created for the Vashwood Anthology, "Love Thy Sinner."
Nicholas D. Wolfwood cares diligently for the orphanage in which he was raised. He never aspired for more in life or to leave the place he called home, but when he meets a handsome and mysterious man with the means to change Nick's life, he follows. Based on the story of Eros and Psyche, ChaoticBuka and Sarcastic_Hats joined talents to bring this creative vision to life.

Vash made a prayer as Wolfwood died. Unfortunately it wasn't granted the way anyone could have thought. Wolfwood is isekai'd into an alternative universe where a Vash in Grad School is studying to be a plant engineer.
Can Wolfwood convince this Vash to give him a chance? What might life look like on this soft, green planet where they don't have to fight for their lives each day?
Is Wolfwood doomed in every universe, or does he have the courage to break free of the narrative and strike out on a new path?

Here’s the thing: Vash Saverem is broke. Not just poor — oh, no. He’s out-on-the-street broke. He’s three eviction notices down and the last one was printed on pink paper. Fired from two jobs within a week flavor of broke. He hasn’t eaten since yesterday morning when he inhaled a granola bar and had to drink directly from the tap to keep from choking.
So, when he got said pink-papered eviction notice, Vash knew he couldn’t be picky about his employment anymore. When he initially went job searching, all his hope had spiraled down the drain with every page he sifted through. References, high school diploma, good standing, experience… Every single one listed something that Vash simply didn’t have. By the time he got to the fifteenth page, all the listings had been for such specific types of people that it was no wonder they weren’t getting snapped up immediately. Contractors and freelancers and people with connections that Vash could never even hope to have. All except for one:
Personal Assistant to Roberto DeNiro. Entry Level. Looking for an outgoing and affable person willing to learn. Headshot required.

Summary
Somewhere in the back of her head, she knows the logistics: they’re frustrated, hot, hungry and dehydrated. Her patience has thinned too much to care about sensibilities of appearance and calmness against his offenses. Teeth on a lollipop shouldn’t have gotten to her. In retrospect, it’s silly that all of this is because of that.
Wolfwood gets on Meryl's final nerve.
