The Blackbeard Estate was the perfect target. Aside from the Bonnets, Blackbeard was the richest person in town. Stede wouldn’t be stealing anything that couldn’t be replaced. No, he’d be stealing from someone who, for all he knew, was just like his father- a business owner with more money than he knew what to do with, all made from stepping on the backs of others.
