    After like, three years of being stuck in training, Tommy's finally allowed on the field as official superhero, Red Lightning. It's going great until just a few weeks in, when Tubbo goes missing, which- isn't too great. And, at the same time, There's a new trio of vigilantes causing trouble for the heroes, including one that seems prettty attatched to Tommy when he's out-of costume. At least there's this cool diner Puffy's introduced him to, but the staff seems oddly attatched to him. ...Which is clearly because of his overwhelming amounts of natural charm, and no other reason, of course.

    (aka basically a sort of role reversal of the usual Vigilante!Tommy AU where instead Tommy is a hero and the rest of the SBI are vigilantes. Chaos enseues. Also people are going missing, but that's not important.)

    Tommy had never been picked by the hatchlings his village had. Year after year, from age five until ten, and he was left an outcast. He knew he'd be exiled for not being chosen- that's what happened to kids without dragons- so he decides to save the village leaders the trouble and leaves alone.
    Which turns out to be the best decision he's ever made.

    Tommy is lonely because he can't bond with a dragon. So he leaves and bonds with three wild dragons. Then he overtakes a kingdom. Usual fifteen-year-old stuff

    Tommy, the epitome of bad luck in the city of L’manberg, is done.

    You’d think that getting an eyelash in your eye or having a hangnail every now and then wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but when it happens consistently for sixteen years? Yeah. Kind of annoying.

    And now superheroes and supervillains keep, quite literally, crashing into his life and he’s getting tired.

    But, who would’ve guessed that his bad luck might end up being the best thing to ever happen to him?

    Or, Tommy just wants to go to work, go home to his dingy apartment, and watch random documentaries and TV shows. But, life has a different plan for him… in the form of raining heroes and villains.
