There’s a bright flash of light, and then Ed thinks maybe he should have listened to that Deja Vu when an eye splits open the ground and pulls them in.--------
When closing the portal between Amestris and Germany, things don't go as planned. Edward and Alphonse are sucked through to another version of Amestris, 6 years earlier, and with no ide how the hell they're supposed to exist at the same time a their alternate selves.

Toya visibly winces at the word, expression crumbling after a moment of processing. Akito can’t help feeling guilty– he causes problems no matter what, doesn’t he? His gaze falls to the floor, waiting for his partner to formulate whatever his response will be.
A moment passes. Another, and there’s a soft, gentle, “Oh, Akito…”
