After ODIN was utilized by the Federation and an attack was launched on the United States, everyone in No Man's Land must adapt to survive. You mold yourself to this life, harvesting sea salt to trade at makeshift local markets. It’s not a bad life, but it is a lonely one. When anti-federation military personnel crop up in the outposts, you know in your gut something is happening. Especially when you can’t keep your thoughts or your gaze off one in particular.

Anne is exhausted. Working for Joja was never what she wanted to do with her life, but there's a complete lack of other jobs for someone with an education degree and Joja will hire anyone with a pulse as anyone with a remotely useful skill is in the army or working in Ferngill military factories, and she can't go back to being a paramedic either after that incident during college. So she wastes away at a grimy desk in one of Joja's many warehouses, until she finds a long-forgotten letter at the bottom of a drawer...
When she gets to the valley, she'll befriend the villagers, build up her farm to prosperity, and maybe even get to know that stranger in the tower. However, the wizard isn't the only one keeping an eye on her, and there's a lot more to this quiet valley than meets the eye.
This story will be divided into four arcs. Arcs 1 and 2 are complete and Arc 3 is in progress.
