Sanghyeon’s reply comes without even a beat of hesitation. “Being pretty, obviously.”
Except for the Keeper who looks like he has 8th-grade syndrome, there is no one else at a place meant for the passing souls waiting to be taken away.
That's why, being stuck at The Crossroads is usually very boring—but maybe that's not the case when you’re a devil trying very hard not to blush because your human won’t stop flirting.

Sanghyeon shrugs, one hand loose on the wheel, posture infuriatingly relaxed. “I like morning flights.” You don’t, Liyu wants to say. But as if he knows Liyu catches his lies instantly, Sanghyeon immediately adds. “And you like watching the sunrise.”
Liyu shifts in his seat, dragging his knuckles across his mouth to hide a smile. “Then you should have just bought a morning ticket in the first place.”
“The manager asked me to send him details and screenshots of my ticket, and I needed him off my tail,” Sanghyeon mutters. His company is sick of him at this point, but Sanghyeon is even more sick of them. “And it’s not like I can’t get us another ticket.”
Chuei Liyu and Chung Sanghyeon have spent five years at the top of the industry—parallel lives, separate spotlights. Nothing ever changes, until Liyu allows it to happen.
