Childe frowns, confusion clear on his face. “Doing what?”
“This,” Scaramouche tries to explain. “Bringing me here, putting your life at risk just to help me treat my injury. I don’t understand what you get out of this.”
Childe hums as he seems to consider his answer. “I dunno,” he admits. “Do I need a reason?”
Scaramouche scoffs. “Surely you’re not just helping me out of the kindness of your heart.”
“And what if I was?”
It’s been three weeks since the outbreak first swept through Inazuma, and Scaramouche is tired. Alone and injured, the only thing he wants is a medical kit and to maybe stay alive for one more day. What he finds instead is a stranger with blue eyes and a bright smile who just won't seem to leave him alone. Left with no choice but to work together to survive, Scaramouche finds himself drawn into a journey that could change everything he believes about the world around him.
