Summary
While Nahida is away on business with the traveler, Acting Grand Sage Alhaitham receives a request from Kshahrewar to help deal with unruly Jnana energy. However, soon afterwards, dealing with memories of others taking up his mind, it is up to Alhaitham to figure out the truth behind the Jnana energy and survive long enough to save his own mind.
“Alhaitham,” Kaveh says, his tone serious. “Are you alright?”
As if a gear is slotted back a centimeter, back into the place it should be turning, a sense of dread comes to him and at least for a moment, the samurai leaves him.
Kaveh called him by his name.
Kaveh never calls him by his name.
The astrologer takes over and speaks, “Everything is alright. It has simply been a long day.”

Summary
Kaveh would never have imagined a day where homosexuality became an actual, terrifying disease. He’s had his share of gay flights of fancy, but on a national scale? This would be less of a problem if his students did not keep getting pulled out of lectures red-faced by unknown men who looked as if they ticked all the boxes on a checklist of conventional BL Seme traits. Or if fewer men cornered Kaveh in his office after school hours to ask if he was a virgin (what the fuck? What the actual fuck).
Kaveh, in navigating the horrors of being trapped in a world of BL.

Summary
Kaveh has achieved so much today, it should be fine to do this much for himself. It should be fine to enjoy this much. There is absolutely nothing that Al-Haitham could possibly do to ruin this day!
Of course, this is when Al-Haitham chooses to walk in covered in blood.
Kaveh has enough troubles on his plate even without dealing with his confusing relationship with and unfortunately lingering feelings for his stubborn, infuriating roommate. But when a strange conspiracy begins closing in on Al-Haitham and threatening the precarious balance of their daily lives, Kaveh finds himself having to reevaluate the nature of their relationship and reckon with the ghosts of the past.
-----
There’s never really a good time, way, or reason to tell Kaveh about his long-lived, amoral, exiled, criminal ex-partner — who, Al-Haitham will note, was not any of those things at the time they were involved.
However, there is definitely a worst way for Kaveh to find out.
