Summary
"I often imagined showing the world how much I love Ember Lumen," Wade sighed, running a hand over his waves. "This isn't exactly what I had in mind."
Takes place during the "several months later", before Wade and Ember boarded the boat.
While Firetown is being rebuilt, Ember and Wade's relationship continues to grow. Which means more dates. More adventures in Element City. More invites to the Ripple family residence. More connections.
And it gets more interesting when word of their "romantic rescue and selfless sacrificing" during the flood results in the couple getting on a famous talk show. Ember thought this was a great opportunity to promote her parents and Fire community. Sure, it did that.
But it also results in her and Wade getting absolutely hounded by reporters, papparazzi, and fans who can't decide on a ship name between Blue Flame or Wamber. At least Firetown will get more visitors!
And while chaos and hilarity consume their lives, Ember and Wade will learn even more about each other. And find comfort.

While learning her power she must also juggle learning social hierarchy of the elementals. While attending she meets a water elemental user named Wade who always seems to wear his heart on his sleeves. He seems to enjoy her company but the echoes of her father's warning keep her from getting too close.
