Ravi looked over towards the pair and his eyebrows almost shoot up to the sky as Buck leaned his head back, looking like he was holding back a whimper as Eddie placed his lips on the back of his mate's neck.
"Mating season?" He questioned as Hen sighed heavily while leaning against the rig. "For mated couples, spring is a very busy season,' she commented, suddenly glad that she and Karen didn't work in the same space.
Because, whileshe prided on herself having self control, she will admit that her mate's scent always became extra sweet and delicious around mating season.

“He would,” Eddie says without thinking.
That pit in his stomach feels like it’s grown into a watermelon. They’re all going to think that he only wants to spend a heat with Buck because he’s an omega. Whatever takes the edge off for you." He wiggled his eyebrows. "What the hell are you doing, Buck?! You could have been killed!" Eddie roared, his voice cracking with the sheer terror of almost losing him. He gripped Buck's shoulders, shaking him slightly to force him to look at him. "Look at me! What is wrong with you?!"
But the anger died instantly in Eddie’s throat.
Buck wasn't fighting back or apologising. Instead, his head rolled back slightly, his blue eyes glassy, unfocused, and swimming with a terrifying vacancy. His lips were trembling, and as Eddie watched, a low, broken whimper escaped Buck's throat—a soft sound of absolute distress that an Omega should never make in the middle of a chaotic environment.
Buck let Tommy be his heat partner. Something went really, really wrong.

Clicking his tongue, Eddie looked around the empty restaurant. The distant chatters just outside of the establishment made him pause. He waited for the noises to fade before he reached down and pinched Buck's ass.

As Buck’s hands move, he speaks, not leaving a thing to the imagination with the words he’s saying.

Whatever Buck was going to say, Eddie assumes he’s right based on the feeling he gets. Eddie turns his face up from his phone and the neon lights paint his face in greens and blues, those dark eyes of his catching reflections in a way that makes them look almost ethereal.

His fingers tense against the brick at his back.
Oh, it doesn’t matter.
None of it really matters, because Eddie smiles at him. It dimples his cheeks and turns his eyes into half-moons. Buck’s own mouth lifts in a helpless mirror of it, joy blooming in his chest.
Eddie closes the distance between them in a few casual strides, one hand hooked in his pocket and the other holding his phone to track their Uber. He stops just short of Buck’s feet. It’s not close enough, but at least Buck can feel the heat of him now.
