Summary
“Not exactly trying to blend in, are you?” Jongho asks, wondering if the walk to the tavern really was this long when he was with the pirate couple.
“People will know anyway, why try to hide it?”
So that’s what he’s going for then?
“Some might think it’s more than just showing off that you’re a pirate,” Jongho says, making sure to run his hand through hair. He’s seen Haseul do that around Hyunjin a lot.
“And what would they think?” Hongjoong asks, eyes tracking his every movement. “What do you think?”
“That the sea can be lonely.” He adds a light touch across Hongjoong’s coat, so incredibly soft. He hopes it hides the fact that his line was more of a confession than a pick up line. “But there’s more people here, people who definitely won’t want you to be lonely.”
Or: Jongho works at a tavern but misses the sea. He thinks he can manage until a crew of pirates visit and he has to face just how much he wants.

Summary
Jongho knows that as far as things go, he doesn’t quite fit in the definition of handsome nor he is close to what is considered an appetizing addition to a pack. He knows that not being on the touchy side when it comes to friendships is a big minus point in the imaginary curriculum that should score him a spot – a place where he belongs – in a group - the so called family of choice – and that his slow approach to relationships is often interpreted as utter disinterest instead of caution. That he is consequently a virgin, perhaps it could attract some of the weirdos out there who are into that stuff, so even the latter he wouldn’t consider positive.
