When the other Vees don't show up to stop Vox, Alastor is forced to, once again, save the day himself. He offers to make Vox a deal. One martini in exchange for saving the world.
Of course, every deal made in Hell has much more to it than what the words alone say. Their personal history with the cocktail goes back to the 1960's, a brand new sinner named Vincent getting the lay of Hell, a wide-smiling patron of the arts, and an utter refusal to ever define a relationship.
It's a love story, if you squint.

Summary
Alastor has forever been used to a certain nuisance of an alpha circling him at a distance like a shark every time he goes into heat—or perhaps like a lonely puppy, begging for scraps. But the man reeks of insecurity and alpha pheromones, and Alastor has no patience nor need for alphas. It has been a long time since he has cared for such overbearing company.

What happens if Vox gets sick of Alastor's shit and stops paying attention to him?
Well, Alastor sure doesn't wanna find out.
Canon-compliant through the end of season 2; repeated some events from the show with a peek into what they were thinking. Then we delve into a little bit of post-canon where Alastor is forced to navigate a world in which he doesn't get Vox's attention on-demand anymore, due to the events of the season 2 finale (and everything preceding it, really). Slow burn to the point that Jane Austen herself is going to demand I move things along.

Vox’s body wheezes, squelches, crackles; his systems struggle to stay online as blood and coolant pour from the space where his torso ends, body blown to pieces by his own weapon. Funny, that his attempts to destroy Alastor destroyed him, instead. Perhaps it was always meant to end this way."
OR: Valentino's intervention comes a moment too late, and Pentagram City is destroyed. Two sinners remain in the aftermath.
