‘’There is too much grim on the driver’s side of the car Cap. Ravi, any luck on the passenger side?’’ Buck asks him over the top of the car.
Ravi moves his hand over the passenger side window and he stumbles back tripping on his own two feet. ‘’Shit!’’ He yells.
‘’Ravi!’’ Buck yells running on the other side of the car where Ravi is hyperventilating, hands on his knees trying to catch some breath. ‘’W-what happened?’’
Ravi just manages to point to the window before he pukes his guts out. Buck glances back and he can feel his heart beat faster as he reaches for the radio.
‘’Cap, I think we need to call ‘Thena for this one.’’

Summary
When a routine rescue goes catastrophically wrong, Buck and Eddie expect injuries, paperwork, and maybe a few weeks of being extra careful around unstable buildings.
They don’t expect to wake up bound together by a mysterious red string of fate.
At first, it seems like an impossible curse. The farther apart they get, the worse they feel, and no one can explain why the universe—or whatever caused this—decided that the two of them couldn’t be separated.
But the string is more than a tether.
It lets them hear each other’s thoughts. Feel each other’s emotions. See pieces of each other’s dreams. Every wall they’ve spent years building starts to crumble as they are forced to confront the one thing they’ve always been best at avoiding: the truth.

“I hate when you guys act like–” Chris cuts himself off with a groan.
Buck and Eddie frown and look at each other “Like what?”
“Like you’re–“ he huffs in frustration.
“What, Chris?”
“Like you’re a married couple!” he blurts out “Like you need each other before making any major decisions regarding me just because you’re so codependent, like you… ugh, just stop! I don’t need you ganging up on me” and with that he slams the door shut.
Teenagers are complicated. When Buck and Eddie won’t allow Chris to go to a certain party, he ends up saying something that sends them into a spiral. More so when everybody seems to agree with him.

“First, you pack up at the house and don’t tell me, and now you just sneak in here and hope no one sees you?” Eddie asked, hurt. Buck felt himself tense up at the pain he caused his best friend.
“It’s tragic, isn’t it? I can’t even face the people who matter to me,” Buck told him. He turned to look at Eddie.
Eddie was leaning against the door frame, and Ravi started to walk out. “No, you stay,” Eddie said sternly as he looked at Ravi.
Ravi looked between them and didn’t know what to do. He leaned back against the locker. Buck let out a frustrated sigh. “What, now?” Buck asked angrily.
“You think that no one wants to say goodbye? You just left the group chat like it was nothing. You gave your transfer request to the interim Captain after Gerrard left, like it was nothing. No one knows how to talk to you, Buck. You just cut everyone off.” Eddie said. But Buck didn’t cut everyone off, no, he just started talking less, he just hoped no one noticed, but of course Eddie did. Eddie always noticed when Buck self-isolated.
Or, what happens when Buck moves out, leaves the 118, and ghosts Eddie Diaz?

Summary
Tired of waiting for Mr. Right while his biological clock ticks away, Buck decides it's time to make an appointment at the sperm bank. When Eddie learns that Buck's unpredictable behavior is the result of his pregnancy, he declares his commitment.
