Summary
Vanya hated it. Hated the fact that she could never play with her siblings when they went on missions, could never play with her siblings in general, all because she was labeled ordinary, weak, and defenseless. The only thing really special about her was her pills that her father made her take. For her supposed anxiety. Vanya glanced at her pills in her hand and scoffed. She didn't ever remember having anxiety, but, Vanya muses, she has been taken them so long, she hardly would know, would she?
OR
Vanya decides to go off her pills before Five runs away and this changes things.

“Shane? What the hell, dude? Do you know what time it is?” He whispered.
Hayden heard a low groan, then panting.
“Hayden?” Another hiss of pain, a quiet fuck!

Summary
Ilya and Shane marry after Rookie season
Due to Shane being a little more aware of himself thanks to Yuna, over-prepared mamma bear, explaining all types of sex/attraction to him from a young age (“He needs to be prepared for anything! I am not pigeonholing my son!”), Shane knowns he’s crushing on, if not falling for, Ilya.
The butterfly effect occurs; this has only one outcome really. It’s a small thing. Tiny. When Ilya is not there for Shane’s Rookie of the Year award after-party, Shane is worried, needing to track down the other man, instead of slightly annoyed/upset that he would be without Yuna’s lessons.
This in turn leads him to not doing shots with Scott Hunter.
Which means only one thing: other than the whole ‘definitely being aware of falling for your rival’ tiny thing. It shouldn’t change much.
He is not drunk on that balcony with Ilya.

Summary
After Scott Hunter comes out on national TV, Ilya wants nothing more than to go to Shane's cottage and figure out a way to make their relationship work. Too bad he broke things off and blocked Shane after the Montreal/Boston game that sent Shane to the hospital. Upon discovering that Shane has blocked him back, Ilya decides to show up at the cottage and win his Hollander back.
Snippet:
“Jane would not block me,” Ilya insisted again, even as his chest constricted with uncertainty. Ilya Rozanov did not get blocked, especially by pretty, pouty, freckled Canadians who meant everything.
Marleau threw his hands out in helpless surrender, Ilya’s glare fierce enough to send him scurrying from the kitchen. Ilya waited a beat before carefully tapping Shane’s contact to call. He held his breath, heart sinking to the pit of his stomach as it rang once and connected to voicemail. Clenching his jaw, he hung up and tried again. Then one more time, torment ripping through his already tattered heart. This time when it connected, he left a message. Short, sweet, and full of intention even if Shane wouldn’t hear it. “I’m coming to the cottage.”

Shane halfheartedly lifted a hand into the air as if he was shrugging away the last ten minutes.

Summary
“Hey,” Buck says, in the hospital room after it’s all over. “Just so you know, I’m in love with you.”
His voice is raspy, his smile a little self-deprecating. His eyes, when Eddie stares at him in surprise, are steady and blue. He doesn't sound like he’s blurting something out, or getting something off his chest, or confessing something he’s embarrassed of. He just sounds like he’s telling Eddie about the weather, something mundane. The sun is hot in the sky, they’re in New Mexico, and Buck is, apparently, in love with him.
Buck confesses to Eddie after the kidnapping. Eddie, in a fit of madness, accepts his confession. It'll be fine - just because Eddie isn't in love with Buck, doesn't mean he can't be his boyfriend.
