Nagi can’t say he’s experienced when it comes to emotions, but even he can tell he’s getting angry. And honestly, can anyone blame him for it? How’s he supposed to stay calm when this pair of crooked glassy eyes stare right back at him, mocking him that they have what he doesn’t? That’s not even the worst.
Isagi is snuggling and hugging the damned thing in his sleep, rubbing his cheek against the cotton and humming in comfort. The tall male feels how the side of his face twitches. Nagi wants all these snuggles and hugs and cheek rubs because he is the boyfriend here. He can’t tell where the mouth of the offending thing is supposed to be but he knows it’s smirking at him in pure mockery, making fun of his dilemma.

The guy’s tongue darted out, wetting his lips. “You’re stupid, you know that? But damn sexy.”
Isagi swore he saw red, as he marched forward. “What, are you gonna kill me? Fat chance, you gold-toothed piece of-”
“Now, now, let’s keep things civil here,” a voice interrupted Isagi. Thankfully, he hadn’t said too much that would incriminate him. Kaiser, because of course it was Kaiser, made his dramatic entrance, coming in to save the damsel in distress. Isagi wanted to roll his eyes. “Lorenzo-” He lowered his voice to a whisper so that only they could hear it. “-get lost.”
The man from before, Lorenzo, licked his teeth in frustration, but turned on his heel, winking at Isagi. “Later, bunny-chan~!”
For the first time that night, they were finally face to face. Isagi felt his heart speed up with adrenaline. The mission was officially beginning.

Jeongguk watches him, eyes fond. He lets out a small, amused huff. “You’re like a little hamster.”
Jimin stills.
Jeongguk doesn’t notice at first, focused on his blade. But when he finally glances up, Jimin is staring at him, hands protectively cradling his belly. His lips are parted slightly, brows drawn together like he’s trying to make sense of something.
Then—his eyes well up.
Jeongguk freezes, the sharpening stone slipping from his fingers. “Wait, what— ”
“You think I look like a hamster?” Jimin’s voice wobbles, and Jeongguk’s chest tightens.
“What? No, baby, I just meant—”
“Because I’m round?” Jimin’s bottom lip trembles. “Because my cheeks look puffy? Because I keep collecting things—?” His breath hitches, and Jeongguk nearly flinches when Jimin’s scent shifts, distressed.
“No, no, no ,” Jeongguk immediately rises to his feet, crossing the short distance between them. His hands land firm on Jimin’s waist. “Baby, I swear, I didn’t mean it like that—”
Jimin blinks up at him, tears slipping down his cheeks. “Then why would you say it?!”

His dark eyes were cold, void of mercy, glinting like sharpened steel as they locked onto Jimin. The only sound was the sharp inhale of breath from the surrounding wolves, but Jeongguk ignored them all. His focus was singular, unwavering.
“Jimin is to be mated to the head alpha,” he said, voice low, guttural, filled with malice.
No one dared to move. No one dared to speak.
Jeongguk’s lips curled, a hint of a smirk, but there was nothing kind about it. His gaze lifted, meeting the elders where they stood, too shaken to mask their unease.
“No?” he asked, voice calm, but the challenge beneath it sent a ripple of fear through the pack.
He tilted his head, blood dripping from his jaw as he took another step forward. He did not have to say it outright.
The severed head lay at Jimin’s feet, eyes wide in shock, lips frozen mid-snarl. He had killed the head alpha. That made him the head alpha.
