    Summary

A mysterious, stubborn virus infiltrates Caine's systems, forcing him to utilize some rather desperate measures in a reckless attempt to keep the circus, and himself, online. He attempts to fix it, ends up somewhat successful, and pretends like everything is fine as a result. See? He's not dying! He can handle this just fine on his own. He didn't need Kinger, or anyone for that matter, rummaging around in his delicate code.

That is, until he wakes up one day covered in digital blood, surrounded by the mutilated bodies of his favorite humans.

    Summary

“Caine?” Pomni asked again. The orb drifted up and down in a nod. “How do you know I know for sure? Why do you look so…” Small, weird, different. She’d been anticipating seeing a Caine clawing at the walls, or crying, or yelling. How ever she imagined finding Caine, he looked like, well, Caine. Not this.

    oOo

The plan is simple: undelete Caine, get the Circus back up and running, and just have some restrictions so Caine can't mess with them. Simple.

Unfortunately, Caine and the Circus are a little more complicated than meets the eye.

    Summary

    It's a stage.

It's hard to tell in its dilapidated state. But he knows, instinctively, that he stands on a stage. Hardwood. Shining, once upon a time, he thinks. It's solid beneath his feet.

He taps a foot against it. He receives feedback; pressure against his sole, an audible clack in the air.

    What a strange sensation.

A desperate act to save the circus leads to a haphazard reconstruction of Caine's corrupted code. But something is wrong. Now powerless and flooded with memories that do not belong to him, Caine believes he's another human.

But if Caine thinks he's a human, and the players are busy trying to stop the circus from complete self-destruction, then who's the one running the show?

    Summary

Caine tried everything. Making adventures humans might enjoy by stalking watching them from the distance? Check. Asking them for their problems only to be told the same ones he already has solved? (Courtesy of Zooble). Check. Looking at the suggestion box to rewrite adventures to keep their brain active? Check. Yet nothing ever seems to work. Noth-ing.

With all those complications in mind, Caine has only one other solution! He will mix under his dear humans to (hopefully) finally understand what goes on in their wonderful, complex, confusing brains! Now, only a believable background must be added! Good thing that's easy. Even an Ai like himself has one. He just has to slightly change it to fit into human standart.

Now, why do all of them look like so weird when he said his "parents" stuffed him in an empty room when he was not good enough? Why do they squint their eyebrows when Caine speaks about times when he made mistakes, he was told to do it over and over with more scathing remarks?

Humans. Caine may never understand them. Humans may never understand him.

If the ringmaster decides to walks among them instead of floating far above their heads, it maybe possible.
