Summary
Julian went and had a quiet conversation with the replicator. Garak didn't catch the name of whatever cocktail he ordered alongside the lubricant, but he did notice that it required a medical override. After he'd taken the hypospray, Julian tossed the injector gun into the reclamator and closed his eyes for a moment.
"Okay," he said, taking a deep breath. "I'll just use the bed to…"
Garak's claws were digging into his own thighs through the thick fabric of his trousers. "If you like, Doctor."
"Alright. And you might as well call me Julian if you're going to breed me."

Summary
Julian and Garak watch the 80s TV show "Remington Steele," a show where the two leads have outrageously unresolved sexual tension, and it raises certain questions about the nature of their relationship. Dialogue only.

“Ah, now there’s a clever thought! There may be hope for you yet, Doctor.”
“You know what, I didn’t think about it much when I watched this show as a kid. You’re right - the more I think about it, the more absurd it seems. They can’t keep playing these games forever. A person could run mad.”
“I’m glad you seem to have learned something tonight.”
“I don’t know if I’d call the innuendos outrageous. I mean, outrageous would be…”
“If he, for instance, offered her some Yigrish cream pie?”
“I’m sorry?”

Summary
The funeral was insufferably hot. Of course, it would be. Bashir wore all black, a mourning suit in the traditional Cardassian style that Garak had made for him years ago to attend his first state funeral as the Castellan’s spouse. He wondered if, in the back of his mind, Garak had known Bashir would someday wear it to this very occasion.
He was sweating entirely too much for such a somber event. The black fabric drew the heat of the suns, and he was beginning to feel lightheaded by the time they finally adjourned.
He sat on the steps of the funeral home, and Jeri brought him some cold water to drink and fanned him ineffectually with a floral arrangement. Smoke was rising from the crematorium.
He’s really gone.
***
In which Garak and Bashir never mended their relationship from the wartime wounds, rushed into a politically-motivated marriage, and broke each other’s hearts. Oh, and Garak fakes his own death. Don’t worry, the story does get happier.
