    Hello! Welcome to my first Fic inspired by @bluntfiend1's New Worlds, Lost Wanders features various D&D characters of mine transported into the world of ASOIAF. It doesn't require any fore knowledge of D&D but major spoilers for ASOIAF. And warnings for cannon typical unpleasantness.

    How badly shall the song be sung anew, cast into disarray by the incursion of beings from beyond the world? Is the terror of ancient days to return as wizards capable of toppling armies once more walk the earth? What new darkness shall creep into edges of the world with their come? And how shall our travelers from beyond the stars fare, cast into in a world of dead magic and dark deeds.

    As it is my first fic and narrative writing in too long (best part of a decade), feedback encouraged and requested.

    Maria gets reborn in a young adult novel before the main character is a thought in her mom's mind. So, with no Mockingjay to save the country, she'll just have to wait things out until Katniss gets to the games.

    Unfortunately, that plan doesn't work when she volunteers in a twelve-year-old's place seven years before Katniss does, and now she's stuck in the 67th Hunger Games.

    Murder puts a bad taste in her mouth, but so did the tesserae. Augustus won't be winning these games if she has to brick him herself.

    Summary

    The greatest threat to any organized system is an Outside Context Problem.

    In 2689 of the Council Era, 2157 of the Terran Common Era, a Turian patrol encountered a heavily armed patrol fleet of an unknown species activating a mass relay. The patrol fired upon the aliens, in contravention of Citadel first contact convention, sparking a war that would at least for a short while, severely damage the Turian Hierarchy’s ability to wage war.

    The 314 war came to a stalemate well within Turian territory, and it became abundantly clear that the Turian Hierarchy had sparked a conflict with another alien nation with military and industrial capacity almost on par with the Citadel Council in its entirety, backed by an entirely distinct technological paradigm.

    The People of the Systems Alliance call it Tiberium.

    For the Citadel Council, it was a sobering rebuke of institutional inertia.
