“Well look at you,” you weren’t sure if it was the growl in the ear or the burning-hot touch to the back that woke you, but you jolted awake. Had a moment to blearily realize everything was tinted black, barely able to make out a man’s face before you but no details before what you were seeing truly hit you and you screamed, drawing back only for him to scruff you by the back of your shirt, pulling you back to get a good look at you and you screamed again, screamed for your ma and pa but they were gone, you remembered that abruptly, stared up at the smirking man who waited patiently for you to shut up, waited for you to run out of breath.
