Had a moment to blearily realize everything was tinted black, barely able to make out a man’s face before you but no details before what you were seeing truly hit you and you screamed, drawing back only for him to scruff you by the back of your shirt, pulling you back to get a good look at you and you screamed again, screamed for your ma and pa but they were gone, you remembered that abruptly, stared up at the smirking man who waited patiently for you to shut up, waited for you to run out of breath.

“What?” You asked, looking back realising that the guy was coming over.
“Agent (L/N)” He said putting out his hand, “Good to see you’ve met everyone, I’m Unit Chief Aaron Hotchner.”
You could feel yourself staring at him as he had done earlier. That’s where you recognised his voice, over the phone in the briefing. You’d been distracted by his dark brooding looks, he was wearing a suit for god’s sake… he looked exactly like an FBI agent. How did you not notice that?
You could feel your cheeks heating up as he grinned at you. Morgan was still laughing behind you and doing a terrible job of hiding it.
“Yes… yes of course. Unitchiefaaronhotchner…” you mumbled, “We should get going. SUVs are waiting outside.”
The way Agent Hotchner was grinning at you, getting you back for catching him off guard… he was enjoying this.
