Summary
In a world that has been ravaged by climate change, civil wars, and resource depletion, society as we know it has crumbled into a desolate wasteland. Decades have passed since the collapse, and the survivors are scattered, living in small, nomadic communities or fighting to survive alone. Amidst this post-apocalyptic landscape, a stoic man roams the desolate land alone until he stumbles upon a young teen girl and reluctantly takes her under his wing, promising to teach her how to survive.

After the bridge incident, Daryl spent years wandering the woods alone, looking for Rick. That's when a mysterious young girl, turbulent and reckless, arrives in his life. Against all odds, the two protagonists develop a very close relationship. But is the teen as innocent as he thinks? Is she who she claims to be? What would happen if Daryl were to discover the dark secret she is hiding? Would he protect her at all costs, even if it meant putting his own family in danger, or would he abandon her, like so many others have?
I started writing this story a good 2 years ago. I was inspired by the story of The Last of Us, because I'm a big fan of games, and I really enjoyed the series and I love "father/daughter" stories so I decided to publish it. It is a story, above all, about love, hurt, violence, but also about innocence, about a young girl who has to face the world like it is and humans cruelty, but she'll also discover love, tenderness and what family really means. I also warn you because there will be very graphic and violent content, implied rape/non-con scenes. If you are sensitive to this subject, I hightly recommend you not to read this scene. I will put several warnings beforehand. I hope you'll enjoy!
